The Kingdom of God's Government

AJ’s Corner: 7 Jan 23 - The Kingdom of God’s government

1. Introduction

Its important that we do not limit our reflection on Jesus and why He was born to Christmas time.

Isaiah 9:6 - 7a (NKJV)

6” For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this “.‬‬

Reflection – How does the statement ‘and the government shall be upon His shoulder’ apply to you?

2. Jesus came to form a new government structure

▪ The Queen’s annual speech used to be where she laid out her government’s yearly plan

▪ UK government has 16 secretaries of state – defence, education, trade and commerce, head of ex-chequer etc – to implement the plan of the king for the year based on the budget.

▪ Jesus came to set up a government – a never ending government

▪ Jesus is head of this government, the Holy Spirit as chief counsellor, we have the great cloudof witnesses, the heavenly host, arch angels, ministering spirits, ambassadors

▪ Then we – the ambassadors are all part of this government.  We are His government.  Selah

2 Cor 5:20

Berean Standard Bible

Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ: Be reconciled to God.

▪ As ambassadors we are meant to shine in an area of endeavour

We are born again to fit in somewhere – Born to make a difference

Many go to church to watch the pastor, forgetting we have our own place to fill as well.

We must stop being spectators.

Reflection – Pause and think about what you are good at – do you know where God wants you in His government?

3. We must find our place in this government

▪ Our title is ambassador – what is that special thing God has placed in you and I?

o That will make you the head and not the tail

o That will make people desire to be like you

▪ We are meant to have ambassadors that excel in different areas

Good in music – music that works miracles

That will develop cures to cancer

Consultants that are Solution providers in any company they go to

Foreign policies – to prevent unnecessary wars

Nurses with a difference

Financial gurus

Supernatural at work

Joel 2:7 - 8

7 They run like mighty men,

They climb the wall like men of war;

Every one marches in formation,

And they do not break ranks.

8 They do not push one another;

Every one marches in his own [d]column.

Though they lunge between the weapons,

They are not [e]cut down.

We are supposed to be mighty

Everyone knows their place, where they fit in

No breaking of ranks

No stopping us

The above is the gateway to supernatural – everything begins to work

Examples

4. Close

▪ Let’s ask God to reveal our place to us – where we fit into His government

▪ Every ambassador is meant to live the soft life – no ambassador lives a hard life.

When you become an ambassador everyone celebrates and rejoices with you, and your life becomes easy.

▪ No natural living this year - we must desire to live in the supernatural

▪ This is our year – no one is permitted to be a spectator in the kingdom of God – each one must operate in their office as Ambassadors this year

Homework

▪ Ask God and seek how you fit into His government

▪ Listen to the message again on YouTube channel.
